We are writing to inform you that Tern Vets will be relocating our equine services over to Fyrnwy Equine Hospital in Baschurch, Shropshire, effective from 14th March 2024. The decision has been reached after careful consideration of a range of factors.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of servicing your veterinary needs for equine patients alongside our farm and pet service, and we are sincerely grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in us. As we focus on our pets and farm service offering, we have decided to hand over the care of our equine patients to the specialist care of Fyrnwy Equine whom we have leaned on as a referral service for several years.
Fyrnwy Equine comprises of a strong ambulatory team based across Shropshire, Cheshire, and the Welsh borders, providing their own 24/7 365-day emergency service, which means you can always be assured a member of their own team is on hand no matter what time of day.
Fyrnwy Equine branch contact details and branch locations are available on their website https://www.fyrnwy.co.uk/contact-us or by scanning the QR code below.
When will the changes happen?
For those of you with ongoing needs for equine veterinary care beyond 14th March 2024 our team will work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition to an alternative veterinary care provider. We will also be able to provide any necessary medical records or information to facilitate the transfer of care, whether to Fyrnwy or another equine vets of your choice.
If you wish to register with Fyrnwy you can do so by the following methods:
If you wish to use an alternative veterinary practice, please tell us in writing, and we will arrange to email your horses clinical records directly to your new practice.
Please be assured that whilst we bid farewell to our equine services, we will continue to provide care for our small and farm animals. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for your understanding during this transition.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this decision, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery on 01630 656300 or by email farm@ternvets.co.uk
